     RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Executive Director recommends the appointment of Mr. Dorsey Miller, Esq., to the position vacated by Mr. Jason Chalik on the Section IV Appeals Committee.

     2. Report of Finance Committee … Hinson

          a. FHSAA Financial Statements for Period Ending November 30, 2009 [Supplement C] … Robertson

          RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Executive Director recommends approval of the FHSAA financial statements for period ending November 30, 2009, as presented.

          b. FHSAA Land Corporation , Inc., Financial Statements for Period Ending November 30, 2009 [Supplement D] … Robertson

          RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Executive Director recommends approval of the FHSAA Land Corporation, Inc, financial statements for period ending November 30, 2009, as presented.

     3. Report of Operations Committee … Wilder

          a. Amend Cross Country Rule 210.02, Individual Awards, (1) District and Regional; (2) FHSAA Finals [Supplement E] … Harrison
Currently the first 15 placing student-athletes in the District and Regional rounds receive an award (ribbons) and the first 10 placing student-athletes in the FHSAA Finals receive an award (medallions).

          Cross Country Advisory Committee recommends the standardization of all individual awards by giving the top 15 student-athletes awards at each state series level (district, regional, state). The Athletic Directors Advisory Committee does not endorse the recommendation.

          RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Executive Director recommends leaving Cross Country Rule 210.02 as it currently exists.

          b. Amend Cross Country Rule 102, First Regular Season Competition Date [Supplement F] … Harrison.
          Amend the Cross Country competition beginning dates without affecting the length of the Cross Country season.

          The Cross Country Advisory Committee recommends extending the competition period to the Friday of Week 10, up two days from Monday of Week 11. The Athletic Directors Advisory Committee endorses the recommendation.

          RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Executive Director recommends approval Of the amendment of Cross Country Rule 102 to move the first regular season competition date up two days, from Monday, September 14, 2010 (Week 11), to Friday, September 11, 2010 (Week 10).

          c. Amend Golf Rule 205.05, Advancement of Teams and Individuals, by Rescinding Item (2), Regional Tournament to FHSAA Finals [Supplement G]  … Harrison
          Golf Rule 205.05(2) only allows golfers within 5 strokes of the lowest scoring individual to advance from regional to state.

          The Athletic Directors Advisory Committee recommends rescinding item (2), Regional Tournament to FHSAA Finals, of Golf Rule 205.05.

          RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Executive Director recommends approval of the amendment to rescind Golf Rule 205.05(2), Regional Tournament to FHSAA Finals.

          d. Certified FHSAA Official at Swimming District Competition [Supplement H] … Young
           The Swimming Advisory Committee recommends there be at least one certified FHSAA official in a supervisory role at district competition. The Athletic Directors Advisory Committee endorses the recommendation.

          RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Executive Director supports the recommendation that there be at least one certified FHSAA official in a supervisory role at the swimming district competition.

          e. Establish a Minimum Number of Officials and a Recommended Number of Officials at District Level Swimming Competition [Supplement I] … Young

          The Swimming Advisory Committee recommends the establishment of a minimum number of officials and a recommended number of officials at district level swimming competition. The Athletic Directors Advisory Committee does not endorse the recommendation.

          RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Executive Director does not support the recommendation to establish a minimum number of officials and a recommended number of officials at district level swimming competition.

          f. Require Additional Officials at Region Level Swimming Competition [Supplement J] … Young

          The Swimming Advisory Committee recommends the establishment of a minimum number of officials at region level swimming competition. The Athletic Directors Advisory Committee does not endorse the recommendation.

          RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Executive Director does not support the recommendation to require additional officials at region level swimming competition.

          g. Change the Meet Format of District Level Competition from a Prelim/Final Format to a Timed Final Format for Swimming Events [Supplement K]… Young

          The Swimming Advisory Committee recommends the meet format of district level competition swimming events be changed to a timed final format. The Athletic Directors Advisory Committee does not endorse the recommendation.

          RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Executive Director recommends that the meet format of district level competition swimming events remain as it currently exists.

          h. State Swimming Finals—Team Attire Required on Awards Podium [Supplement L] … Young

          The Swimming Advisory Committee recommends student-athletes be required to wear team attire on awards podium at state swimming finals. The Athletic Directors Advisory Committee endorses the recommendation, with the caveat that the FHSAA can modify the definition for team attire.

          RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Executive Director recommends the requirement of team attire on awards podium for state swimming finals.

          i. Diving Event – First Event by Prior Mutual Consent of Competing Teams [Supplement M] … Young

          The Swimming Advisory Committee recommends the diving event may be the first event by prior mutual consent of competing teams. The Athletic Advisory Committee endorses the recommendation.

          RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Executive Director supports the diving event as the first event by priormutual consent of competing teams.
